Most sellers are using AI incorrectly when it comes to product research.
They ask AI to give them product ideas.
That approach usually leads to crowded markets and late entries.
A better approach is to start with the customer.
Instead of asking what to sell, ask who you are selling to and what they use on a daily or weekly basis. This gives you a broad set of potential product ideas tied to real behavior.
From there, the next step is validation.
This is where data matters.
You need to understand how existing sellers are performing, how many units are being sold, and what customers are actually saying in reviews.
The most valuable signal is not what customers like. It is what they consistently complain about.
That is where product opportunity exists.
AI helps you explore.
Data helps you decide.
