"The issue isn't conversion rate.
People land on the page and purchase.
The problem is we don't have traffic."
This came from a client yesterday.
And it's the most important diagnosis in Amazon advertising.
Most sellers focus on the wrong problem:
❌ "Our conversion rate is only 12%"
❌ "Let's optimize our main image"
❌ "Maybe we need better A+ content"
When the real issue is:
✅ Traffic volume is capped
✅ Cost per click is maxed out
✅ You've hit diminishing returns on PPC
Here's the quick diagnostic:
→ Conversion rate above 10%? Traffic problem.
→ ACoS climbing despite good performance? Traffic problem.
→ Can't scale spend without destroying ROAS? Traffic problem.
The solution isn't better listings.
It's better traffic sources.
DSP campaigns.
Connected TV ads.
Off-platform brand investment.
Branded search defense.
Optimizing a listing that already converts is rearranging deck chairs.
Building new traffic sources? That's scaling.
What's limiting your growth right now — traffic or conversion?
