This was the “busy” I thought I couldn’t handle back then.
Throwback to when they were all still this little..
Six kids. Full days. So much happening at once.
I get asked, “How do you do it?”
For me, it comes down to how I choose to run my days.
I don’t leave things to chance.
I build structure into my life.
Early mornings. Clear priorities.
Knowing what needs to get done, and making sure it does.
My work matters to me.
So does being present for my kids.
I don’t choose between the two.
I make space for both.
There are meetings, decisions, and responsibilities.
And in between, there are hugs, conversations, and moments that matter just as much.
It’s not about doing everything all at once.
It’s about being intentional with what I give my time and energy to.
Over time, I’ve learned how to expand that capacity.
Not just for work and family, but for myself too.
My health. My energy. The gym.
Because I want to be strong for all of it.
Looking back, I really thought that version of busy was my limit.
It wasn’t.
We’re capable of building a full life,
and still showing up fully in each part of it.
This is how I make it work.
How do you?
