I'm going to say something that may annoy Amazon vendors.
Your Amazon VM isn't difficult.
You just don't give them a reason to prioritise you.
Your VM manages hundreds of vendors.
They have category targets, profitability pressure and a mountain of emails.
They will prioritise the vendors who:
1. Show up with data, not just requests
2. Understand how Amazon works, rather than fight against it
3. Bring solutions to problems before being asked
4. Don't escalate every chargeback
5. Make them look good internally
Most vendors manage the relationship upward.
In my opinion the best vendors make the relationship easy downward.
Your VM will have more leverage than you internally.
But probably have more influence than you're using.
