🚨 One of the biggest mistakes Amazon sellers make has nothing to do with product selection.

It’s inventory planning.

Most sellers think:

“If I sell 2,000 units a month, I’ll order 2,000 units.”

But that ignores the timeline:

• ~30 days production

• ~45 days shipping and check-in

• potential delays

Now you are looking at ~90 days of lead time.

Which means:

If you are selling 2,000 units per month…

You need to order ~6,000 units upfront.

This is where things break down for many sellers:

• underestimating capital requirements

• not modeling logistics timelines

• failing to plan for stock continuity

And when inventory runs out, the impact is immediate:

• ranking drops

• sales velocity slows

• competitors take position

Inventory is not just an operational detail.

It is directly tied to growth and profitability.

The sellers who win are not just good at finding products…

They are disciplined in planning supply.

Question: do you think most sellers underestimate inventory… or cash flow more?
