Amazon is not your storage unit And summer will prove it Every April 15, Amazon

Amazon is not your storage unit
And summer will prove it
Every April 15, Amazon stops accepting meltable inventory into FBA fulfillment centers
That window stays shut until October 15
Any heat-sensitive product sitting inside gets marked unfulfillable and disposed of
Then Amazon sends you the bill for destroying your own product
This is not a surprise policy
It is published
It is predictable
Sellers still get burned every single year
Most people wait too long to submit a removal order
Removal orders are not instant
If you are filing on April 14, you have already lost
If you sell chocolate, gummies, candy, or anything that cannot survive 75 to 155 degrees Fahrenheit in transit, that removal order needs to be in today
Not next week
Set up FBM or route through a 3PL before the cutoff
Keep selling
Resume FBA shipments in October when the window reopens
The difference between sellers who lose inventory and sellers who do not is simple
One of them treated April 15 like a hard deadline
The other one assumed they had more time
Go to Manage Inventory
Filter by FBA
Cross-reference Amazon's meltable ASIN list
Submit the removal order
You are not losing inventory to heat
You are losing it to bad calendar management
