📌 Shoppers don’t buy what they don’t understand. And when your product doesn’t

📌 Shoppers don’t buy what they don’t understand.
And when your product doesn’t fit a category shoppers already recognize, your listing has one job:
𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗯𝘃𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹.
This product is a toilet coating, not a toilet cleaner.
But the old image stack didn’t help the brain make that switch—so shoppers filed it under “another toilet product,” compared it to a $4 bottle they already trust, and kept scrolling.
The fix wasn’t more traffic.
It was making the category shift visible.
𝗕𝗘𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗘:
A floating bottle + a wall of instructions. The shopper had to do the mental work: What is this? Why is it different? Why is it worth it?
𝗔𝗙𝗧𝗘𝗥:
⚡ A scroll-stopping reframe: “Not a Cleaner. A Coating.”
⚡ Clear proof up top.
⚡ A simple step-by-step that makes application feel doable.
⚡ A comparison that makes the “old way” feel exhausting.
⚡ And lifestyle context that sells the real promise: a clean bathroom without the weekly battle.
Innovative products don’t lose on Amazon because they’re not good.
They lose because the listing never teaches the shopper what they’re looking at.
If your product is genuinely different but your listing looks like everyone else’s, you’re paying for confusion.
