A TikTok seller just turned a manufacturing mistake into 7,000+ sales.
What should have been a loss became a customer acquisition machine.
A batch of stickers came out wrong. Wrong size, misprinted, completely unsellable anywhere else.
Instead of writing it off, they listed it on TikTok Shop, and labeled them as “Oops Stickers.”
And it worked.
Over 7,000 units sold, 300+ five-star reviews, and the entire batch sold out.
This only worked because it was on TikTok Shop. TikTok is discovery commerce. Story drives conversion on the platform.
The “manufacturing error” became the reason to buy.
Now the reviews are filled with customers saying they can’t wait to buy more from this seller.
Not bad for inventory that was headed for the trash.
