🚨 Many successful Amazon products start as a 7 out of 10.

The opportunity is identifying how to make them an 8 or 9 out of 10.

Take this wooden toddler puzzle as an example.

It already solves several problems parents care about:

🧠 STEM learning

👶 Early childhood development

🤲 Hand eye coordination

🎵 Creative play through musical instruments

From a product perspective, it checks many important boxes.

However, as a seller, I’m evaluating more than just the product itself.

I’m looking at operational efficiency and market opportunity.

For example:

📦 The product thickness could be reduced to lower shipping costs

🎨 The visual design could be improved to stand out in search results

📉 Packaging efficiency could increase profit margins

But the most important step comes next.

Analyzing the market.

That means looking at:

🔎 Keyword demand

📊 Search volume trends

👥 How current sellers are getting their sales

If the demand exists and you can improve the product, that’s where opportunity lives.

Question: When you evaluate a product opportunity, do you focus more on the product itself or the demand data behind it?
