We track hours daily, even with flat rate pricing. Most agencies don't.
Here's why that's dangerous...
Flat rate pricing without time tracking = flying blind.
Most agencies think: "Fixed price, no need to track hours."
Wrong.
Without daily time tracking, you can't see:
→ Which accounts are profitable
→ When to adjust pricing tiers
→ If quality is slipping due to time pressure
We track everything daily.
Even on flat rates.
Why?
Accountability works both ways.
If we're spending 40 hours on your $7K account...
And 10 hours on another $7K account...
There's a conversation to be had.
Either we're inefficient with the first...
Or we're underserving the second.
Tracking time on flat rates shows us:
✓ True account profitability
✓ When to bump pricing tiers
✓ How to maintain quality standards
After managing 400+ Amazon brands...
I've learned: You can't manage what you don't measure.
Even with fixed pricing, transparency matters.
Does your agency track time on fixed-rate projects?
