One of the biggest myths about building an Amazon business is that you need a large amount of capital to start. ❌ 💰

In reality, success comes down to product selection and positioning.

Amazon operates as a search engine.

Customers use different keywords to find the same product, and each keyword represents its own competitive landscape.

This creates both complexity and opportunity.

If you’re starting with $5,000 to $10,000, the objective isn’t to dominate an entire category.

It’s to identify sub-niches and keyword segments where you can realistically compete with the top sellers.

That means analyzing:

Search volume

Keyword distribution

Sales velocity of current competitors

And where demand exists without overwhelming competition

This approach reduces risk and increases your probability of success.

Jennifer and I have applied this methodology across multiple brands, and it’s the foundation of how we evaluate every product opportunity.

💭 Question: When evaluating a new product, do you analyze keyword-level demand or just overall category size?
