Amazon brands are throwing away free real estate daily.
Where? On their main image.
Here’s what I mean:
Your product photo probably has a ton of empty white space.
⤷ That’s wasted opportunity.
The fix?
Add a retail box behind your product - even if you don’t actually ship in one.
I know what you’re thinking:
“But John, isn’t that misleading?”
Not really.
Unless you’re selling a giftable item where unboxing matters, customers throw the box away anyway. What they care about is the product inside.
Here’s what this does for you:
→ Makes your product look better positioned
→ Gives you space to communicate value props at first glance
→ Creates merchandising real estate to show quantity, flavors & features
You can 3D render a branded box in Canva or hire it out for $50.
Even if you sell pencils in a plain bag, that box graphic makes you look like a real brand.
It all starts with the click.
If they don’t click, they can’t buy.
Are you using the box hack in your listings?
