Amazon is not an awareness platform. It’s a demand-capture platform.

Medicube understands this, and it's the reason they are so successful.

If nobody is searching for your product yet, Amazon is going to be a very expensive education tool.

This matters most for new or inventive products.

Amazon can’t create demand for something people don’t understand yet.

Medicube didn’t make that mistake.

They invested heavily in packaging, content, and brand presence off Amazon to create desire and familiarity first.

So when shoppers search for beauty on Amazon, Medicube shows up everywhere, because people are already looking for them.

Once demand exists, Amazon becomes incredibly powerful, because now you’re capturing bottom-of-funnel intent.

That’s why product-market fit, pricing, and existing search behavior matter before you decide: “Should we launch on Amazon first?”

If your product already has:

• Search volume

• Comparable competitors doing real sales

• A price point within the market’s tolerance

Amazon-first can make a ton of sense.

If your product requires:

• Education

• Category creation

• Behavioral change

Build demand off Amazon first, then bring that branded traffic onto the platform.

You can launch almost anything on Amazon.

The question you need to answer is when, and in what order.

Getting that wrong is one of the most expensive mistakes I see brands make.
