Valentine's Day isn't just for romantic partners...

It's also for the people who help you see systems more better.

Your operations partner. Your warehouse collaborator. That friend who actually understands what a catalog-level suppression means.

This week, subscribe together to OSS Lab, and you each get 50% off, because building better judgment works better when you have the right people with you.

Problems like the one we're breaking down next Tuesday are easier to solve when you're not figuring them out alone. When you have someone to validate your thinking, challenge your assumptions, or just confirm you're not missing something obvious.

Your ASIN is active. Your inventory is ready. Amazon blocks the shipment anyway.

The error says: "manufacturer barcode has been removed from the ASIN."

You didn't change anything. The same UPC that worked last month now blocks your entire workflow.

Most people assume this is a shipment configuration issue. Delete the template, toggle some settings, recreate the plan. It'll clear itself out.

But Amazon detached the UPC from your ASIN at the catalog level. Not because you misconfigured something. Because their internal catalog systems suppressed it.

Your ASIN can stay active and sellable while simultaneously being ineligible for inbound shipments. These are two separate layers. Customer-facing listing status versus fulfillment receiving eligibility.

When a UPC gets suppressed, you lose control. You can't "add it back" through flat files or templates. UPC recognition lives at the catalog level, above seller-controlled inputs.

No amount of shipment reconfiguration will fix a catalog-level suppression. You're solving at the wrong layer.

This Tuesday, we're breaking down the full diagnostic, the exact escalation path, and how to prove reality when Amazon requires verification.

What's the longest you've been stuck on an inbound block that looked like a settings issue but wasn't?
