As part of our sales process at Nectar for Amazon marketing services, we almost always spend 5-30 hours doing a free in-depth audit.
Without an in-depth audit we can’t fully determine:
- whether we can actually provide value
- how much work actually needs to be done
- what the growth opportunities are
without diving into an account
Because selling on Amazon is complex and multifaceted
We need to explore each facet to understand where the challenges and opportunities are
It also allows us to scope our time and fees much more accurately
We routinely are complimented on the depth of the data analytics an insights we provide in these audits
And we have a very high close rate as a result
Yes, we spend a lot of time and money on these, and there’s a huge risk that we won’t get the business
But the reward has outweighed the benefit
To be clear, we only provide complimentary audits for brands that are in the profiles of the types of brands we work with
I know this has become a controversial issue in recent years, but I’m firmly on the side of free audits
