If you are currently hiring from Amazon, consider whether it is truly necessary

If you are currently hiring from Amazon, consider whether it is truly necessary for you to undertake all the seemingly tedious tasks involved, such as messaging individuals on LinkedIn, creating the job post, and implementing a filtering mechanism, including following up with candidates who have not responded despite your belief in their suitability.
The hiring process encompasses numerous tasks that consume a significant amount of your time. Consequently, you may feel compelled to take on these tasks yourself, as you lack confidence in others to perform them effectively. However, this approach leads to a drain on your time, preventing you from focusing on tasks that could propel your business or project forward.
As a result, you may find yourself completing a two-hour sprint of seemingly insignificant tasks, as you believe you are the only one capable of performing them.
However, what if you were not required to undertake these tasks? What if someone else could perform them? What if hiring a single Amazon PPC manager could be accomplished in two hours instead of the customary twenty or thirty hours?
The more time I invest in obsessing over the efficiency of hiring a senior Amazon PPC manager and matching them with suitable brands, the more I recognise that this is a complex task that can only be solved by meticulous attention to detail.
Any brand owner or team leader attempting to handle this process independently would likely struggle to achieve the level of filtering and accurate matching capabilities we currently possess.
This is not because they lack intelligence or skill; rather, it is because they do not devote the same level of daily or hourly attention to this specific task as we do. It is not their primary focus.
Perhaps they are required to undertake this task every three months, six months, or once a year.
It is possible that these individuals may not possess the same level of seniority or expertise as Amazon PPC specialists, making it relatively straightforward for them to deceive you.
Consequently, not only will you be investing significantly more time in the task, but you will also be performing it less effectively compared to an Amazon PPC manager who is dedicated to this role on a daily basis.
Combining these factors significantly enhances the chances of identifying suitable talent that will become part of your brand for a long-time. And performance that compounds with time.
