Todays interesting observation about brands hiring Amazon experts, or agencies:

Unless you're a certified Amazon ads expert yourself, you need to seriously prepare for your "interviews"

Take additional time, hours before the interview, to clearly define what you want to get out of the conversation.

This typically revolves around your specific questions.

Because you want to move past just being 'convinced' based on gut feeling. And actually approach your hiring decision with data.

Many great agencies have great salespeople. It's literally their job to convince you that this is a perfect fit for you.

But if you can extract as much info as possible from the ads managers themselves, the person actually doing the job (either via agency or a full-timer in house) then you're much better informed to make a good hiring decision.

I'll be sharing more on this in the coming months and providing some resources to help.
