What does your agency, freelancer, or employee cost to manage your Amazon PPC?
You won’t be surprised by what I found out
My research shows this is going in one direction, along with TACOS YoY, and that’s up.
With a recent deep dive showing salaries in the US and Europe are increasing for senior Amazon advertising roles.
Eastern European countries that have previously been a more economical solution for brands or agencies are less so now.
The UK hasn’t changed too much but data is limited.
The US is on the rise.
As a result the pressure for brands to turn a profit, well let’s say a healthy profit, that’s sustainable, is hard. And getting hsrder.
Regardless of whether they’re hiring in house or via an agency, it’s difficult to escape the substantial fixed cost associated with local talent.
I also think there’s an illusion that you’re getting more by paying more. Which is just wrong.
I needed a quick plumbing doing in the summer. Got a quote from some big local name. And one from this local chap via a Facebook group. £266 vs £95.
The latter also arrived within the hour. Went the extra mile with explanations. And had a Google review QR code at the ready (which I praised him greatly for).
He was hungry for work. He was highly skilled. And he was more than 50% lower cost.
In my 8 years of experience NOT hiring from the US or Europe for senior ppc managers I’m 100% confident clients wouldn’t have had better performances having done so.
And I’ll be fully transparent and tell you all I’m not paying $120k+ a year per head. Which is what the US equivalent costs.
So ask yourself the same question, do you NEED that local person for your business to succeed?
The answer might still be yes. Because you’ve gotta keep up impressions. Or culture is vital. And I get that.
But if you’re remote. And you just want the best performance. And want to save $70 grand a year. Then consider if it’s time to look at other options.

At Pare we spend all day hunting for senior Amazon PPC managers for $150k/mo brands and medium+ sized agencies.
