Personally, and his profession. But I think I've got a point...
Unless you have extensive years experience doing the exact job you're recruiting for, you're a generalist, and you can't qualify a candidate as effectively
You can still be an excellent recruiter
But you can't say, as certainly as someone doing the job, that said person is very good for the job.
We only recruit Amazon ppc managers right now.
And the person in charge of recruiting them has spent every working day for the last 10 years as an Amazon ppc manager.
Working with $200m/year brands on Amazon. And $10k/month accounts.
I believe that person will be better at making a judgement call than someone who doesn't do the job every day.
Prove me wrong.
