"Cost Per Design" (CPD) - have you heard of this? No. It doesn't exist. I've made it up recently as I believe it's something we should be looking at more.
Given we charge a flat fee for unlimited monthly designs, it's important that we're better than any other agency when it comes to design efficiency.
I'm not a designer. I just absorb information and then create processes, and my eye is ok.
These processes I'm refining into a clean onboarding for our latest senior designer.
And it's all geared towards Amazon, but other marketplaces/websites will certainly benefit from the learnings.
You can be a brand, an agency, or a freelancer...these principles will save you time, money, and lead to better quality designs.
This video looks at a really simple file organisation and client/stakeholder communication technique we implemented recently. It will save us a lot of time, and reduce the CPD (Cost Per Design).
The next video, already recorded, look at Design Tokens, and how vital they are to reduce errors, save time, and churn out high quality designs efficiently.
Best of all, it's stupidly simple stuff. As mentioned, I'm not a designer.
But the proof is in the pudding. We spat out this first draft within 48h of starting with the client. And we had no photography, it's all ai generated photos.
