the sad truth is designers jobs are at risk in not just the amazon world, but all industries.
designers have a few options to increase their value add to clients by utilising some of the following:
1/ Tools. Using custom GPTs to write briefs (i made one last week) or ai design platforms to generate ideas allows them to save a lot of time. Which can be passed onto clients.
2/ Templates. Either stealing mine (AmzDesignKit) or building out their own design systems to turn high converting designs around in less time. Which can be passed onto clients.
3/ Systems. By building a set of systems for each brand they work with, or in house, this allows for much easier scaling of designs. Which reduces the cost per design significantly. And allows for super fast translations or variation creation. Passing this onto clients is a mega win, and makes you a stickier designer.
