Long-Term Sales Metrics are Here—And They’re a Game-Changer 🚀

Amazon just rolled out Long-Term Sales (LTS) and LTS ROAS metrics for Sponsored Brands (SB) and Sponsored Display (SD) ads. Announced at #unBoxed2024, these metrics let you see the bigger picture—how your ads drive long-term customer value.

➡️ What’s LTS?

It’s all about projecting your brand’s incremental sales over the next 12 months. LTS shows how effectively your campaigns turn “new-to-brand” shoppers into loyal, repeat customers.

➡️ How Amazon Calculates It:

Every engagement gets a value:

✅ $3 for product views

✅ $5 for branded searches

✅ $20 for add-to-carts

✅ $40 for purchases

➡️ Example:

✅ A product view driven by Campaign A = $3 LTS.

✅ That shopper adds the product to their cart through Campaign B = $17 LTS ($20 add-to-cart - $3 view).

✅ Finally, Campaign C converts the sale = $70 LTS ($40 purchase + $50 product sales - $20 add-to-cart).

These metrics are a major win for brands focused on building long-term relationships—not just short-term sales. Time to start optimizing for lifetime value!
