SB Theme-Based Targeting & Post Boost Campaign Learnings

We tested both theme-based targeting and Boost post campaigns for 12 days, and below are the findings.

➡️SB Theme-Based Targeting:

✅We have two themes available for targeting: Keywords related to your landing pages and Keywords related to your brand.

✅As the name suggests, the related to brand target only branded keywords, while related to landing page targets non-branded and competitor keywords.

✅Keywords related to your landing pages theme spent $561 and generated $367 in revenue with a 153% ACOS. CPC was $1.75.

✅Keywords targeted by the landing page theme were mostly generic and irrelevant. 95% of the keywords contain the word "product." For example, if you are selling coffee-related accessories, it's targeting keywords such as Coffee products, products for coffee, coffee filter products, etc.

➡️Post Boost SB Campaigns:

✅These campaigns are directly created from the post tab and they have many limitations.

✅Post image specifications are completely different from normal SB custom image campaigns, and this affects the overall creative. You need to be a little more careful and preview the creative before launching campaigns.

✅SB ads created via post boost vertical images look weird and unappealing. They utilize only 33% of the space on TOS for both mobile and desktop.

✅It's better to create SB custom image campaigns rather than boosting posts.
