My icebreaker when prospects etc ask why I’m in Australia

3 things I like about australia (that I tell everyone)
1) Raw materials. Beaches, swimming spots, mountains, weather.
2) Mornings. We do stuff before work here. An hour long, post dip, coffee with friends at 7am is common.
3) Ease. Life is a little easier. Our closest friends, for example, all live within 500m.

3 things making me want to leave one day
1) Family. I like spending time with mine. Nieces/nephews are starting to appear. Beers with Dad. Etc.
2) Europe. A two hour flight in AUS lands you in another cookie cutter Aus town. In Europe, you enter an entire new world full of different culture.
3) Progress. Aus will always feel temporary for me. The UK I view as home and somewhere I’d build a family. And a cabin in the woods one day.
