I've ran for 20-years. 100k runs, 60k runs, and sub-20 5ks. I'm still somewhat of an average runner, many friends are better, but I'm now completely changing how I run.
I'm going back to basics. Focusing on both forefoot running and nose breathing.
Previously I pummeled by heels, scooped up mountains of air through my mouth, and ultimately grunted my way through any running challenge.
Nose breathing for running has many benefits such as better oxygenation, improved lung function and reduced stress on the body.
Forefoot running, on the other hand, helps to reduce the impact on joints and promotes a more natural running form.
Stripping back like this is quite tough on the ego. If I'm being completely honest.
It's hard watching people go past you who, perhaps, aren't as competent let's say.
But I'm confident in a year my running will be in a much better place. And my body will probably be thankful for that too.
How does this tie back to Amazon? I hear no one ask.
Well...
Often we audit big Amazon accounts. Lots of money coming in. Selling for years.
And there is so much wrong with what they're doing. So much.
Especially with the ads. The structure is a mess. The foundation, a mess.
When we come in we need to strip it back and rebuild.
Knowing that when we do, the future will hold a lot more success. More importantly, sustainable success.
It doesn't take 6 weeks. It can take many months.
But without a shadow of doubt, the account will be in a much better place.
