Unless you're an expert, ignore all Amazon recommendations with your bidding this week. Prem explains why below...
"You may have observed that Amazon is recommending each and every optimization metric.
Several factors to think about before making these suggested adjustments.
➡️Suggested Bids
👉These numbers don't fit within any CPC range; they are consistently above average (Especially during the events).
👉If you deep dive into the details, Amazon has clearly mentioned “if you have a specific objective in mind, we recommend entering a bid that enables you to meet your strategies and then adjust your bid based on your campaign performance.”
👉Basically, feel free to use Suggested bids by Amazon if you are running campaigns without any strategy or objectives.
➡️Suggested Placements
👉Because it is closer to forthcoming events, the suggested placement percentage for TOS is by default capped at 70%.
It implies the same 70% whether or not you have chosen any products to add to the campaign.
👉Amazon still advises 70% placement if you are already winning TOS at 10% placement for a category.
👉Since placement and bids are connected, increasing one could increase the other, increasing ACOS.
➡️Suggested Budgets
👉If you don't have a daily or monthly spending cap, you can use the budget suggested by Amazon.
👉Budgets, bids, and placements all have a relationship and should be properly matched to your objectives.
If you don't fully understand these proposed metrics, I firmly advise you to hire professionals."
