A message to other agencies stealing talent.

A message to other agencies stealing talent.

We have 4 full time Amazon ad managers. If you approach, and ultimately aim to steal 2, that equates to 50% of our team.

You've got to ask, what would someone be thinking about when doing this?

We're a smaller agency. Wiping out 50% of our team would be a disaster, for both us and our clients.

What is your goal here?

One of the wonderful things about being in the Amazon agency space is the transparency, care, support, and overall respect there is for each other.

I've never felt it's a hostile environment to be in. Largely driven by the fact there is a lot of work out there.

For the last year and a half I've worked really hard on the teams LinkedIn skills. Endless training sessions on everything from copy writing to idea development.

I want each of them to flourish. And they are.

But I didn't intend for this to lead to laziness from other agencies looking for staff.

India is packed full of incredibly talented individuals. With 1 LinkedIn job post and £6 budget we'll get 300+ applicants. And that's just 1 fantastic country for offshore Amazon talent.

I'll share a Loom video this week detailing exactly what I do to hire.

You can steal the formula.

Your team can actually put in a tiny bit of effort and create a steady pipeline of talent.

Rather than looking to cripple smaller agencies due to sheer laziness.

I'm not looking to build a 100 person team, take over the world, and sell for some enormous figure in the first 18 months.

I want to build a team I love working with. Where everyone loves working. And has the freedom to work how they want and on what they want (project wise).

If you're looking at my incredibly talented team, posting rich engaging content every single day, whilst killing it with clients...

and you're thinking, "let's just steal them and wipe out their business", you can politely fk off.

UPDATE:

Context. The new position was different. A blend of web development AND Amazon ad management. The person really wanted to learn web dev. It wasn’t money, culture, team, manager, etc. for that reason it was the right decision for him.

My issue is the companies approach.
