Physical stores deserve to die.
They don’t even try to evolve.
Take the supplements category. I’m looking for some magnesium. DOMS are heavy.
The shelf is slammed with hundreds of products. 30+ brands. It’s ALWAYS a pain trying to find what you want. Let alone finding it multiple times as you explore brands.
Why not have a QR on entry. One that you can save for pre visit shopping. Scan it. Loads catalogue for search. Etc. pick your comparisons, do that comparison thing.
Then tell you the shelf code.
You walk straight to the shelf.
You’re done.
90% of my time in discount chemists is spent searching.
This is why they deserve to die.
The only way Amazon doesn’t solve this is the inability to make easy comparisons. Think Apples comparison experience when picking between models.
