Ads active even if you're OOS ➡️

I pinched this from the team, but it's valuable and needs to be shared.

"SBV campaigns continue to run when the advertised product has no inventory left, here’s how Sponsored Products react to zero inventory.

Normally, if your ASIN has no stock, the SP ads are paused.

You’ll see a warning sign next to the product stating “Ineligible” inside the campaign.

The team have had some instances where the ads remain active even when there are no units available.

You'll see ➡️ “Available to ship in X days”.

The X here could be anything ranging from 2-10 days for sellers.

For vendors, it could be longer than that. So, the product is technically out-of-stock (Available Inventory = 0), but a new shipping plan might have been created = inbound inventory = the adv. status of the ASIN now changes to “Delivering” from “Ineligible”. So, your SP ads will serve.

➡️How will it affect the performance?

It’s going to be similar to SBV campaigns. You’ll receive clicks with negligible conversion because of the extended shipping dates.

Most accounts are heavily reliant on Sponsored Products campaigns.

If you have a product which is being advertised within a lot of SP campaigns. And it's facing such issues. Wasted clicks and spending can quickly grow. Hurting those key metrics you like to obsess over - ACOS."
