Hiring on Upwork is 50% easier for me because of this 1 simple trick.
And whilst tricks aren't nice to play, you can't argue with this.
In every single job post, I write the following. Or some iteration of this.
"When applying please include this in the first line:
1) Favourite colour
2) How many hours to complete (this varies)
3) A link to 2 examples of"
I can remove candidates that don't listen to instructions in seconds.
There is a lot of great talent across the world. So even if someone shares a good example, I still ignore them.
On paper the screenshot suggests you go for the guy in the middle. Top Rated Plus, big earnings, and fair pricing.
Scissors beat paper, I cut him out. And I tell him/them why.
