I did my first proper day of work in years the other day.
Hours filled wading through chest high thorns and nettles. Slicing them down to save the recently planted trees.
Donning thick denim on a roasting Welsh afternoon made for one hell of a sweat. But necessary to reduce the onslaught and continuous skin shredding and stinging.
100 bangers for my trouble. Perfectly fair but the hardest hundred I’ve had for a while.
A nice reminder that laptop work can be hard. But those tea breaks are not a scratch on the relief felt when sitting on a log, in some shade, and having a juice.
Pondering whether it’s worth spending one day a week doing something completely different so you get a bit of perspective.
NB: Welsh countryside views 😍
