I'm starting to believe that DTC is a better option to begin with.
Yes, the ads are harder to get going. But owning your customer data and being able to contact them is incredibly valuable.
This data allows you to launch on Amazon with a bang and not rely on ads to get the ball rolling.
That being said, it comes down to where you resources are strongest. Social advertising and influencer strategies may not be great for you, whereas, Amazon ads might be.
Where can you get the lowest acquisition costs and do you weight Amazon less than DTC as you don't truly "acquire".
