Amazon advertising cost-per-clicks are up 18.4% MoM in the UK consumables category.

Let me explain why and what you can do 👇

Why:

➡️ Increase in advertisers (brands bidding)

➡️ Increase in budget (allocating more spend, perhaps shifting from social?)

➡️ Bigger brands taking Amazon more seriously

➡️ Increased education on why top of search is important (70% of sales)

➡️ Increase in Amazon aggregator companies. They have deep pockets. They understand the value in winning a customer.

What can you do?

➡️ Check keyword relevancy (should you be there?)

➡️ Ongoing keyword research. Increase long-tail keywords which are lower cost.

➡️ Adjust max bids for relevant keywords. Ensure you remain visible.

➡️ Improve your detail page. Focus on increasing conversion rate. Better conversions allow you to bid lower in the future.

➡️ Improve your main image. This drives the click more than anything else.

➡️ Move high converting search terms in an auto campaign over to manual.

➡️ Optimise your storefront. Create richer, engaging experiences. This can drive basket size up. Allowing you to justify a higher cost per click.

➡️ Ask for help
