This brand amassed 297 community members in its first month and is quickly becoming my favourite example of why communities are so valuable.
Annoyingly, both founders are family members.
Here’s why it’s so good:
- they’re receiving 10+ posts a day from real customers. - All posts get high engagement and make customers feel valued and part of something (lots of “it looks beautiful”, “these are amazing curls”)
- it’s an ongoing stream of potent social proof that can be repurposed across platforms
- it helps build loyalty and repeat purchases. You’re less likely to change brand if you feel part of the brand. If you’re on the fence you’re gonna go with the brand you connect most with.
- it keeps the brand front of mind
- it offers more value to the customer -> “how long are you leaving conditioner in for with thick hair”
- it increases usage
- it allows the brand to get more first party data and understand what new products THEIR CUSTOMERS WANT
What am I missing here?
