On Amazon, I see two types of business owner.
Short-termers (hacks FTW).
Long-termers(strong operational base, strong brand, then ads).
The difference impacts the businesses sustainability, from a success perspective, not how many trees they plant.
Short-termers focus on really fast results, at all costs. They lack patience.
They cut corners.
They overlook the small necessities.
Long-termers are thinking sustainable success.
They think about operational efficiencies.
They think about processes.
Then they move on to brand equity.
They see everything as an investment in their brand.
They invest in content. In partnerships. In communities.
Then they focus on traffic channels. Paid and organic.
They build slow but they build it right.
Always with the long-term view.
If you truly want to succeed on Amazon, and online, be a long-termer. Or don’t, I don’t care what you do.
