A story of 2 returns. Written using my new annoying style. I had a birthday recently. I got some bang tidy cycling gear from Rapha and Pedal Mafia. Both reputable brands in the space. "I'm going to look shit hot in this" I mused as I held the items up. Sadly, when buying things online, and being a bit of a chubber like me, you'll often find them to be a bit "slimming". No problem. Not in world of ecommerce we live in today. Here is where the 2 reputable brands went in 2 different directions. Rapha, was fucking excellent. The bag the item arrived in was not damaged, because of how it could be opened. It also had a little bit of tape to tare away which revealed a stick sheet. I quickly rebagged. They also had a stick return label. It was applied. It's ready. Less than 60-seconds. Pedal Mafia. Less good. the bag experience was ziplock, fine. But no sticky label. Log onto the www. "here is your label", they preach following a promise of "easy returns". "please print and stick". It goes downhill from here. No one owns a printer and I've run out of tape. Pain point. When buying again, do I think of these minor misdemeanors? Probably.
