Nobody likes being sober at Christmas.

Nobody likes being sober at Christmas.

They weren't going to be able to deliver the cases of wine for Christmas, so the whole event for me was pretty much over

This useless fulfilment service in Australia completely dropped the ball, shafting thousands of customers and a family-run wine company simultaneously.

There I am, kicking myself for not buying it on Amazon.

I struggle to see a world where Amazon doesn't deliver a huge majority of items in developed markets

Is this devastating? Is Amazon a bad company because they dip their toe into something one year, and dominate the market within 5?

I don't think so.

I also don't feel too sorry for the existing players in the market who may have to shutdown

Because they're ultimately shutting down as they didn't put the customer first, they didn't innovate fast enough, and they were, therefore, prime for an Amazon slap.

I play devils advocate on both sides of this argument, one week slating Amazon, the next complimenting them

But when I was driving (JK the Mrs actually went) an hour to pick up my 7-day late delivery on the 23rd December

Amazon was looking glorious in comparison
