A 10-second lesson in executing top quality content on Amazon
I should stop blowing smoke with the LEGO Group but they keep smashing it
They've cleverly utilised both lifestyle images and text overlays here...
The overlay reinforces key selling points, or trigger points for the prospect, who'll likely be a parent shopping for a gift - e.g. "educational fun that grows with the child".
The lifestyle images help to future pace the prospect into seeing their children playing, the enjoyment they are getting, and all-in-all selling the whole EXPERIENCE.
Hard to say if they are 3D renders or not, either way, they are so clear they jump from the page, and you've also got the option to get a little bit of extra info through the hover.
My only improvement might be to incorporate some floating text in there, as the organic text overlays provided by Amazon just look a bit shit - I've never seen one looking nice.
