Aim for 3-5 products that serve the same customer

This is how you build a brand

Whether you launch with 3-5 or just with 1, is largely down to how much money you have

There is logic in launching with 1 if you’ve got no experience though

Because this way you don’t make your mistakes 3-5 times bigger and you don’t repeat them as you launch new products

But the same target customer is also important

Because, particularly on channels like Amazon, you’re ACQUIRING a customer

You don’t want them to only have 1 thing to buy

As their lifetime value has a much lower ceiling

So the cost of acquisition can quickly become a problem because you’re not making money on the backend with upsells, cross sells or repeat purchases etc

I send a weekly email every Wednesday, it’s literally “what I learned this week” broken down into a series of bullet points.

If you’d like to receive it, I’ve put a comment with the link.

I promise it’s less sh*t than 90% of the other emails you receive - Richard agrees.
