Most new brands fail with this one on Amazon

Here is a quick tip to validate your product idea:

1) Find a Facebook group of your target customers

2) Spend time engaging with them and building relationships within the group. Add value and earn trust.

3) Ask the admin if it's ok for you to introduce a product idea you're thinking of launching.

4) Write a post in the group with a call to action relating to your product. e.g. "Get first dibs on the product and receive an exclusive group discount".

5) Include a link to a landing page where you've got mock-ups of the product, either render of photos, and content showcasing the likely USP's.

6) Add a call to action on the page, e.g. "Join beta launch list"

7) Check your conversion rates of those giving you their email in relation to the traffic the page received.

8) Numbers shit? Back to the drawing board. Numbers good? Proceed to the next step.

This is one example and one strategy to VALIDATE an idea.

Validate everything you do by using data.

"Thanks Mum but I don't really care if you think my podcast is great.

If people on LinkedIn click the link in the comments, and my downloads go up, then I know it's a good show".
