"One of the best ways we can illustrate how we help our customers transform is through customer testimonials"
It not only acts as social proof but testimonials also future pace the customer.
Future pacing is very powerful because from a psychological perspective the customer partly believes they've already received the benefit of your product and are enjoying that transformation.
However, there are differing levels of testimonials or reviews.
"X product is great, I highly recommend X to anyone"
It's nice to read this but it doesn't tell a transformational story.
Ideally, you want your customer reviews to mention specific results and details about what life is like now they have X.
Fostering this is challenging, but giving them examples helps massively, as they will either seek to replicate the example or use it as a base.
Asking questions also help. Framing those questions will lead the customer down a route that gives you the type of review you want.
If you're selling protein bars, then you could ask "how did you feel during your workout after eating the bar".
