When I first met my girlfriend's Dad I didn't speak in the same way as I do when down the pub.
When I speak with Amazon
I also take a different approach.
Many brands suffer from a slap on the wrist from Amazon. Either through suspensions, a block, an account freeze, or something similar.
They ask for information, POA's and essentially are giving you opportunities to overturn the decision.
If your communication is wrong, this can significantly impact your entire business.
A couple of quick-fire tips:
✅ Don't rush - I've seen many opportunities to fix your account issues wasted because they've responded too quickly, without thinking "am I giving them what they need". Take a breath, triple check.
✅ Forget the past - old metrics, data, or sales figures don't matter.
✅ Be specific - Amazon loves data. It's not "some time ago we did", it's "on 03/06/2020 at 12:20pm we".
✅ Save the waffle - Amazon representatives have circa 3-minutes to assess your POA. Punchy bullets instead of paragraphs.
✅ Clear and concise - When sharing documents ensure they are eligible
✅ Write well - If English isn't your strength, ask someone else
Impatience and low standards will be the death of you, so be more disciplined.
I don't even go down the pub, Australian's have terrible bars instead.
