Market value of online grocery double between 2016 and 2018. Obviously this presence an incredible opportunity in the space. But I find the opportunity for repeat purchases much more enticing here.

Brands that are able to capitalise on more shoppers turning to online platforms, like Amazon, to buy groceries, are presented with an ideal moment to grab themselves a new fan.

By viewing Amazon as an acquisition channel, as well as sales (obviously), you can feel more comfortable about how much it costs to get that sale.

This means you can bid higher on the top keywords, run continuous promotions, offer rebates and so on.

But the kicker is, you've gotta be grabbing that customer by the throat and pulling them into your funnel. Otherwise you haven't got a very good model.

Consider having a follow up that brings the customer into a 'special' group of exclusive members, to receive the latest offers and early access to new releases. Really nurturing them and maybe even hitting them with some promos as well.

This works particularly well if you've got a subscription setup that you can get them on.

What other ideas do you have?
