A very common theme in conversations I am having recently. Reality is, like all locales, Amazon Australia needs a completely different strategy - you need to get creative. A client we've been working with recently capitalised on Black Friday / Cyber Monday big time, weeks after launching their product they sold out all units in under 2 hours.
How? Creativity and a strong understanding of the Amazon game.
