Winter 2018: ''Plunging temperatures and icy conditions deterred consumers from shopping on the high street''.
Summer 2018: ''Recent sweltering temperatures had put shoppers off browsing in shops, while the three-month long period of sunshine meant demand for many summer products had slowed.''
Or..... consumers have simply discovered that it is much more convenient to do their shopping from the comfort of their 16 degree living rooms.
Amazon and other big e-commerce platforms aren't killing the high street.
A lack of diversification, imagination and ownership from retailers is.
