Pausing Amazon campaigns is a bad idea. Here’s a few bullets as to why [post]. I’ve got Natalie coming on the pod in a few weeks, keep an eye out. A good of thumb with Amazon is not to let anything get in the way of momentum. It, like sales rank, is difficult to get, but easier to maintain.
100,000 units sat there next to his cease and desist. This weeks podcast was best of British as Elliot and I hash out; downside of Amazon, evergreen products, CPG, aggregators, being offensive. [Apple].
Amazon retargeting is sensational, but you still need these two things. A touch point and data [post]. I’ve been asking a lot more questions recently, since my podcast with this Jon Ivanco, these questions give me as a B2B salesperson really valuable insights. Such as “when are you looking to buy” <- insert “get a solution to Amazon advertising problems”. If we understand this, it changes a lot.
Another platform to get followers on. FFS. You can email followers of your Amazon storefront. That’s how Customer Engagement (sending emails) works right now. It’s an easy solution though, repurpose your existing content from social platforms and hurl it on Amazon [video]. Don’t forget though, content is king, if you have shit content that doesn’t get engagement, I doubt Amazon are gonna be helping you out as much with additional placements.
CPC increasing by up to 135% in Europe. I mentioned this the other week. On day 1 Amazon Advertising launches in a marketplace, it’s the cheapest it’ll ever be, providing you have someone wise managing it. The price is only gonna go up as more people are placing bids (adopt). My bet, people are realising EU might be an untapped op right now and investing. [post].
Example of a great FB community that you can copy. [video].
Use your brands “powerful memory structures”. [Post]. I am loving this guys writing on brands right now, pestering him hard for a podcast episode, fingers crossed. In my opinion you can embed your brand in someone’s “memory structure” even in your early years. Take my green background on my LinkedIn DP, it’s becomes memorable and synonymous for Amazon content. I’m personally experiencing it with Poppi, check them out.
Amazon still pushing more Chinese sellers. To attract more sellers from China, Amazon launched a FBA warehousing fees subsidy of up to 180 Euros in Europe. [Tweet]. Interesting give in the same month they binned loads of top tech sellers for fake reviews. It’s certainly a Marmite relationship.
Alright I’ve run out of puff this week. I’m going to be posting a lot more content on company LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter pages if you wanted a bit more in your feed.
Fuck it, found another thing. Here’s a good thread on SEO and how you can utilise it to build your moat. Moat are good remember. It’s also written by an idiot for idiots, so it’s super simple. Note: not actually an idiot. [Tweet].
Thanks,
George
