Respond to Negative Amazon Reviews

 
  1. Amazon gives new CEO a $200mn welcome. Andy Jassy just had a fat chunk of shares granted. Well-timed given the price is up 4.5% today to $3675. [Andy].
  2. Responding to negative reviews on Amazon is allowed. These babies can kill your ASIN before it's even got into second gear, which is why you want to a) avoid them like covid and b) work hard to address them quickly or c) get so many positive reviews it doesn't matter (typically seen by Chinese blackhat sellers). If a customer leaves a 1-3 star rating you can reply to them with templated emails. Helium 10 break it down well here.
  3. Storefront examples got me dribbling. "George you're just excited about your new mic". Not true, I found these brilliant stores from Pukka Herbal Tea and Barebells and simply could not resist. A lot more content coming from the company page (Georges.blog LinkedIn) so it'll be negligent not to follow.
  4. Amazon advertising clips. As you probably don't know I released my podcast clips feature recently. You can listen to key podcast moments across episodes, here's an example for the topic "Amazon Advertising" - shed loads of clips filled with quick advice. [Link].
  5. Amazon advertising on Twitch. The jury is still out on this, I actually thought it was just gamers on Twitch so you're looking at quite the niche. But 2.8 billion hours of content viewed in February alone is a big number. As ever, test it, see if it works. That's what we'll be doing. [Link].
  6. Generate 60-90 content assets a month. Podcast on influencers and how to build out a strategy. Here is a tip to whet your appetite - the clip is 2-minutes and actionable (i.e. you can do something with it). [Clip, Podcast].

  8. Creative assets available on Amazon advertising. Here are 4 benefits of this and an explanation of what they are.
  9. Globally 64% of shoppers want free delivery. 29% (in 2018) abandon the checkout if it's not free and fast. Just a reinforcement after a client chat today, if you're on the fence about the delivery service you offer, go free. [Link].
  10. Copywriting tip. Replace adjectives with data. If you present anything fluffy at Amazon, i.e. no data point, expect to get your argument shutdown. Same applies on the marketplace, back up your benefits with data - if you can. Go further by grabbing those trigger data points and shoving them on your packaging for the main image, because they may just drive up CTR. [Example].
