Amazon advertising up 70%

  1. Get traffic, then launch a product. Build demand, then launch a product. Validate, then launch a product. Put these in whatever order you like, but I firmly believe there’s a lot to be said for just creating a following in your desired product niche, say from blogging, then building a product that your followers want after. This guy nailed it.
  2. Razor Group get $400m to buy Amazon brands. Learn more about how to sell your brand and inflate its value by listening to this podcast. The space is booming, so it just makes sense to be aware of how to position yourself if you decide to get out. $4bn has been invested into these new companies since April 2020 [Facts].
  3. Edit name of Sponsored Video Ads. We’re big fans of creating well-organised campaigns inside advertising accounts we manage as it just makes life easier. So, this is a nice win, for us and you. Here’s a cracking example of one of these ads if you’re still catching up [Video]. Here’s another one.
  4. 200 million Prime members worldwide. It grew 33% YoY. A huge year for it driven by Covid, lockdown, etc. Prime members spend more than other users, so it’s no surprise Amazon also rocketed their advertising revenue as well. I’m not putting a link to it, cus I’m not salesly, but you can get a free PPC audit if you visit the blog.
  5. Mobile filters looking GREAT. Check these out.
  6. Launching with auto campaigns is old? My good man Gabriel seems to think so and I am inclined to agree with him [Post].
  7. Amazon Marketplace grew 60% in the first quarter of 2021. The fastest in at least five years since the company started reporting third-party seller services revenue [Article].
  8. Amazon Advertising up 77%. [Link]. Perhaps this reinforces the fact that many brands have truly switched from Facebook dominating their ad budget to Amazon now having a stranglehold on things. I believe you should still have budget for both, or at least more than one, because your Amazon or Facebook channel can be turned off in an instant. Never have a single point of failure. It’s negligent if you’re not obsessing over Amazon ads right now though.
  9. 5 top Amazon creative ideas. [Ideas]. “Thanks George, really kind, but I want loads more” -> here you go. I’ve just hired someone full time to find content for you. That’s literally their job, to go out and find great content and put it on that page. Postman George.
  10. Charity. I left it till last because we all hate people asking for money. I’m not even asking for myself. So just flick to your next email if need be. But, if you like cycling and Royal Flying Doctors, you’ll love this. My newfound mate James cycled 2900km across Australia in 16-days, I tagged on the end (a measly 430km in 3-days) when I heard there was a film crew involved (shameless).

Thanks,

George
