Optimize your Amazon PPC ads by using dayparting. A tactic that adjusts ad times for peak traffic. Amazon's tool only allows bid increases, so consider API tools like Teikametrics for full functionality.

PPC Dayparting on Amazon

Depending on the catalog you have, you can save thousands by optimizing the TIME of day you run and bid high on targets

Here's everything you need to know👇

1) What is Dayparting?

Dayparting is simply an ad tactic that lets u optimze based on specific time of day or week.

Amazon didn't allow dayparting directly in their ads console until 2023

Now u can

2) Best Time to Run PPC Ads?

In general, the lunch hours and the evening see peaks in traffic on Amazon

Lunch: 12-2pm
Evening: 6-9pm

*Keep in mind in the US there's four major time zones so if u wanna play this game u have to hit these times in EST-PST

3) Best Days of the Week?

In general, weekdays are better than weekends.

Tho Saturdays, are much better than sundays.

Monday/Tuesday see the most consistent spikes in sales & traffic.

4) Caveat to Above

The lower your sales price, typically the mroe effective dayparting can be

Take a Coffee brand selling at $13.

Using AM dayparting can be effective to increase impulse buys when coffee is top of mind

At $13, many will buy directly after seeing an ad

On the other hand:

If you're a high-end furniture brand...

Most shoppers won't buy the same day they see your ad

So trying to daypart is likely ineffective in the overall strategy of increasing awareness

5) Dayparting Directly on Amazon

As of 2023, Amazon allows for modified dayparting

Amazon lets u daypart thru it's "With Schedule Rules" feature

BUT, Amazon's dayparting tool ONLY allwos for 'bid increases'

Not pausing or decreasing bids

6) Dayparting the Right Way

Amazon's tool is not a dayparting solution.

If you're going to do it, you need to be able to:

- Pause at times
- Lower bids
- Increase bids

For this 👉 you need an API tool that many Ad Platforms have full dayparting functionality

Best Tools I've Tried & Know Of:

- Teikametrics
- PPC Entourage (used for years)
- SellerApp
- Intentwise

Before u lock in with any, ensure your plan comes w/ dayparting if thats what u want.

Sometimes the base plans don't
