Jeff Bezos' leadership style is characterized by thinking big. By being open and curious, customer obsession, and high standards with long-term thinking, transformed Amazon into a $1 trillion company. These traits can be applied to other businesses for growth and success.

It's no accident that Jeff Bezos' leadership style helped Amazon grow into a $1 trillion company.
When you boil it down, 4 unusual traits transformed Amazon from a modest office to a BEAST.
I'll add my own spin on each that you can then use in your own brand building efforts.

1. Thinking BIG:
Bezos pushed teams to expand ideas and always aimed for Amazon to be a leader in its industry.
My take: Being a leader in your category on Amazon and think bigger than your competitors.
practically, this means not settling for just selling on Amazon.
Ask yourself why you're not a leader on social media or Walmart and start taking actionable steps to change your situation.

2. Open and curious:
Bezos was known for being open to new ideas and learning from others, which helped Amazon stay innovative.
My take: Applying this in your business is easy.
When your Chinese competitors zig, you zag.
Go above and beyond. Never get complacent.
There is ALWAYS something you could be improving about your product.
Turn off Netflix and get to work.

3. Customer obsession:
Bezos always put the customer first and prioritized customer service, which helped build loyalty and trust.
My take: To this day, Amazon makes it a breeze to get a refund for literally any reason.
They are delight to deal with from the customer side. One example is movie rentals.
Did you know that if you pay Amazon to rent the latest blockbuster and the movie sucks, you can ask them for a refund?
Now you do!

4. High standards and long-term thinking:
Bezos had high standards for his employees and encouraged them to think long-term, which helped Amazon grow and maintain its success.
My take: This transforms the way you manage your customer service and partnerships.
How many brands do you see that partner with a charity? Less than 1%.
If you wanting to grow into a legendary brand, then you will have to think in ways that make you feel isolated.
This trickles down to your VAs.
Demand excellence and reward handsomely when achieved!

I hope you enjoyed this one!
